What’s on at the RMI Academies – November 2019
Looking for an opportunity to enhance your technicians’ skills and further their careers? The RMI Academy of Automotive Skills helps technicians develop their careers across all aspects of automotive training – and as your “one stop shop”, we can help your garage business too.
With courses at our venues in Runcorn, Southam and Winchester, we can help your business ensure its staff are thriving in our ever-changing sector by offering a range of training options and packages.
Whether technicians want to become MOT Testers, gain Hybrid and Electric Vehicle qualifications or learn more about Air Conditioning, we can help your business with top-quality training at prices made to suit you.
NEW FOR YOU: To help your business even further, we are now offering technicians the opportunity to complete the Practical Assessment of the MOT Tester 4&7 qualification at our RMI Academy venues as an optional fourth-day element of our three-day course. This option is available for selected courses on a first-come, first-serve basis at no extra cost.
After a candidate successfully completes their Practical Assessment and receives certification from the RMI, the DVSA must still visit their premises of employment and conduct a Demonstration Test prior to signing off the candidate as a licensed MOT Tester.
If you’re interested in helping to fast-track your staff’s qualifications, please call our friendly helpline team on the direct member helpline or 0845 305 4230 and ask for information about courses with fourth-day practical assessments.

Although the assessment’s pass rate remains at 70% for this year, we are still advising testers to complete their training at their earliest possible convenience to remain up-to-date with the latest information provided by the DVSA.
