IGA OFFERS MEMBERS SUBSIDISED MOT TRAINING TO UPSKILL INDUSTRY
“Due to the challenging times we are facing as a sector, the IGA feels it is appropriate to provide support to members and help them with the cost of upskilling their staff, as we enter the busy period for MOTs,” announced Stuart James, IGA Chief Executive.
As of 1 November 2023, IGA will be offering huge subsidies on MOT training for their members, including:
a 40% reduction in the cost of MOT tester training and;
a 50% reduction in the cost of MOT manager training for a limited period.
In addition to the subsidised training offers, the IGA will continue to provide subsidised EV Level 3 training for members, to help them prepare for the growing number of electric vehicles entering the UK car parc.
James continued, “As a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting its members’ success, it is right that the IGA channels surplus funds back to members by offering subsidies, giving members access to the expertise provided by MOT courses at the RMI Academies.”
Courses are available at RMI Academy of Skills sites in Cheltenham, Lincoln, Southam, Runcorn and Winchester. To enquire or book, call 01788 538 399 or visit www.rmitrainingacademy.co.uk
Great to see IGA supporting garages with subsidised MOT and EV training—upskilling is crucial as the industry evolves. It’s similar to how professionals in other fields, like tattoo artists, use tools to visualise outcomes before committing; for instance, technicians might benefit from planning workflows just as someone might preview how a tattoo might look on your body to make informed decisions. Smart preparation, whether in automotive or creative trades, makes all the difference.

This was a very interesting and useful read that I genuinely enjoyed. The author explained the subject in a structured and easy-to-follow manner, making the key points much clearer. As a student, I often read educational blogs like this to strengthen my knowledge and improve my academic skills. During demanding study periods, many learners also consider assignment help when they need support with challenging coursework or tight deadlines. Posts like this provide valuable motivation and encourage students to approach their studies with greater confidence.
