What’s on at the RMI Academies – March 2019
This March, The RMI Academy of Automotive Skills is helping technicians and Testers keep a spring in their step for the last month of the MOT Annual Training year 2018/19! With the Annual Training deadline less than a month away, it’s of vital importance for MOT Testers to complete the DVSA’s mandatory Annual Training and Assessment and upload their certificate to their MTS profile.
If your technicians have already completed or do not require Annual Training, the RMI Academies are also here to help you. With our range of MOT and Technical courses, we can help you support your technicians through every step of their career – helping you to develop your garage business.
What’s more, the RMI Academies are now offering MOT course bundles, so your technicians can complete all their necessary qualifications at a cost suited to your needs. Read on to see our available courses and find out more information.

MOT Annual Training
The MOT Tester Annual training year syllabus for 2018/19 requires a comprehensive understanding of the revised MOT Inspection Manual which came into force on May 20th 2018, with an increased pass mark of 70%.
Because the changes have affected every tester, on every MOT test carried out we are advising all testers to consider their 2018/19 Annual Training early. As well as this, now that the EU Directive 2014/45 has been implemented in the GB Testing Scheme there are considerable changes that testers of which testers will need to be aware.
RMI Academy training centres are open to all eligible candidates and Testing Stations; however, members of the RMI can take advantage of preferential prices as a benefit of membership.
