MOT Annual Training Update -Time is Running Out
All MOT testers must complete their annual training by March 31st 2017 as required by DVSA, so if you or your testers haven’t completed yours yet, you only have a few months left.
Recent surveys the IGA has carried out suggest that only around 20% of garages have completed their training so far, so we strongly recommend completing it as soon as possible, before Christmas is over and everyone will have to compete to book the limited number of training courses and packages that are left.

Regional Training Events
We have been holding regional training events across the country this year to reach those of you who would like to complete your three hours of training classroom style, but are not in easy reach of the RMI Academy in Southam.

The three hour training sessions cover the 2016/2017 MOT annual training syllabus, then the online assessment will then need to be completed in your own time.
Tickets cost £70 + VAT, and you can click on the event you would like to attend above to book tickets through EventBrite. Places are strictly limited to 40 per event.
Doors will open at 09:30am, and the events will last from 10:00am until 1:00pm.
Annual Training Workbook
If you’d rather take your training in your own time, our annual training workbooks are a popular, cost-effective option. The workbook contains login details so you can access the online assessment, and it is also an easy way to record your training as there is a sign to form within the book, which you can keep on file.
Workbooks are £45 + VAT , and you can order as many as you need by calling us on 0845 305 4230.
Classroom Training
Classroom training sessions are available at the RMI Academy in Southam, with the annual assessment taking place at the end of the course, are another popular option as you can complete the whole process in one day.

Places are limited to 12 per session, and if you’d like to take this option but the current dates on offer aren’t suitable, please give us a call as we may be able to put on another event for you.
This package costs £75 + VAT and consists of a training session, access to the online assessment, an RMI workbook, and tea/coffee and lunch.

On-Site Training
Our MOT QC field team can deliver annual training at your premises for up to 6 testers at a time. The online assessment may be taken immediately following the course with the trainer present if time permits, otherwise testers can take it at their own convenience.
The price for the training session is £200 + VAT, and includes RMI workbooks for each candidate. This does not include online assessment costs, which are £34 + VAT per delegate.

E-learning
Annual training and the online assessment can be carried out fully online through an e-learning system. This option is also available for class 1 and 2 vehicles (motorcycles).
This package costs £60 + VAT which includes access to e-learning and the online assessment.

Extra Information
All of our packages include at least three hours of training or self-learning for the 2016/2017 syllabus for class 4 and 7 vehicles, plus the online assessment. They all meet the mandatory annual requirements set by the DVSA.
Please note that once a login code has been issued for an online assessment or an e-learning package, it is not refundable under any circumstances.
