Course Overview

 

This is a two day compulsory course for prospective MOT Managers. Those who are responsible for the operations of MOT stations (e.g. site managers) will also benefit from attending.

 

Course Structure

 

Over two days the course will cover:

 

• Responsibilities

• Test guide

• Supporting acts and regulations

• Retests and fees

• Classes of vehicle subject to the MOT test

• The MOT test content

• Nominated Testers

• Testing equipment

• Testing by appointment and/or demand

• Documentation

• Damage/third party liability

• Quality control

• Use of testing assistants

• Security

 

Qualification

 

On completion of the course, a candidate will receive a qualification from the awarding body. Once this qualification has been awarded, a candidate will be able to apply to the DVSA to be an authorised examiner (AE).

There are no eligibility criteria for this course.

Subsidised rate for IGA Members: £200 + VAT

 

RMI Members: £395 + VAT

 

Non-RMI Members: £475 + VAT
